Pod tímto názvem představila lehký sportovně vyhlížející roadster s nízkou spotřebou paliva a řadou zajímavých řešení.

Když Volkswagen v roce 1976 s velkou slávou představil výkonný Golf GTi, dopřál tak sportovní vyžití i méně majetným spotřebitelům. Tentokrát by svou pozornost rád zacílil na ještě náročnější klienty, kterým by za vcelku rozumné peníze dopřál vskutku nevídanou porci zážitku z jízdy.

The Volkswagen car company prepared a surprise in the form of the BlueSport Concept for The North American Detroit Auto Show which was held at the very beginning of 2009. The light sporty looking roadster with low fuel consumption and a number of interesting solutions was presented under this name.

When the Volkswagen presented with the great glory the efficient Golf GTi in 1976, the sport-realization was indulged even to less wealthly consumers. Now the target of their attention would be more demanding clients, offering them for quite a reasonable sum of money, a truly unprecedented experience of driving.

Volkswagen BlueSport builds on a six-year old Concept R, with which has a lot in common at the first glance. But the new design is much closer to the serial production and the possibility of placing on the market is much more likely. Over its position would have to fight with competitors, which would certainly be the legendary Mazda MX-5, Mercedes-Benz SLK, Porsche Boxter, BMW Z4 and Audi TT.

The concept of BlueSport is a classic double-seated convertible vehicle with a soft top. With a body length of 3.99 m, width of 1.75 m and height of 1.26 meters, it is one of the smallest of its category. Minimum dimensions, low weight and its setout are promises of excellent handling both on long journeys, and also in the narrow city streets.

Driving unit of the presented concept is 2.0 liter-diesel aggregate with 180 hp mounted in front of the rear axle. This twelve hundred kilo heavy roadster can reach a top speed of 226 km / h and run from 0 to 100 in 6.6 seconds. These are the values of the vehicle with combined consumption of 4.3 liters of fuel per 100 km! The merit in this consumption have start-stop system (automatic shutdown and start the engine) and breaking energy regeneration (when it’s breaked energy is generated by alternator). Those features are making a positive impact on fuel economy and emissions but still offers a respectable level of driving features.

photo description - A small roadster with the quality of the BlueSport  Concept is for Volkswagen a meaningful choice. Its’ appearance characterized by practicality and precise rendering of detail is a further step towards consolidating of the distinct identity of the German mark.

wow design box - Design of BlueSport Concept is the work of the two Volkswagen design centers. The established studio in Wolfsburg is conducted by Klaus Bischoff and the studio in Potsdam which was opened in 2006 is led by Thomas Ingenlathem.

Jejími zakladateli byli v roce 1993 manželé architekt Roman Delugan a architektka Elke Delugan-Meissl. Výsledné tvarové řešení nese charakteristické prvky dosavadní tvorby studia a evokuje geometricky osekaný monolit ledu.

Z vnějšku působí čistota tvarů, originální výběr barev a materiálů i přes nadlidské měřítko celého objektu přívětivým dojmem.

5600 m2 plochy pravidelně obměňované expozice nově zbudovaného muzea by jí mělo navštívit až 200 000 návštěvníků ročně. Ti budou moci shlédnout na 80 prototypů, sériových i závodních vozů a na 200 menších exponátů. Mezi opravdu exkluzivní kousky jistě patří nejen první vyrobený roadster 356 (1948), Porsche 550 A Spyder (1956), Porsche 911 2.0 Coupé (1964), Panamericana Concept Car (1989), ale i moderní Porsche Carrera GT (2003).

Nová budova muzea nyní plně odpovídá bohaté historii automobilky Porsche, stává se jejím novým architektonickým symbolem a známkou zdravého sebevědomí německé značky.

Sixty years of continuous improvement on the legendary Porsche sporting models essentially affected the whole motorcar world. The history of this development can be seen from the beginning of this year in the newly opened and extravagant Porsche factory museum in Stuttgart, Germany.

Construction of the factory museum of the famous car company Porsche has been an essential step. The public design competition launched in 2004 started the path to its realization. The winning design was selected out of 170 plans submitted and at the end of 2008.  The design of the building consists of a total area of 25 800 m2 with a total value of EUR 100 000 000 upon completion.

The author of the winning project is the Austrian architectural firm Delugan Meissl Associated Architects. It was founded in 1993 by a married couple, architect Roman Delugan and his wife architect Elke Meissl-Delugan. The final form resolution bears the unique characteristic features of existing studies and suggests the creation of geometrically trimmed monolith of ice.

The new Porsche Museum is located on Porscheplatz square in the suburban part of Zuffenhausen, which is the northern area of Stuttgart, Germany. The museum location is right next to the headquarters of Porsche. Its exact location can be determined with the help of geographical coordinates 48 ° 50 '3.23 ", 9 ° 9' 8.58".

Property reaching 140 m of length and 70 meters in width, it is divided into two functionally different units interconnected with stairs, escalators and elevators. Above the cross part with an entrance hall, museum shop, archive, bistro, and café, the museumis based on three supports in the shape of letter “V” a steel carrying construction of dynamically shaped body. There are situated exposure, restaurant "Christophorus" with window to the exhibits, and conference rooms with large roof terrace. Part of the building is a parking garage with two underground levels.

Despite the superhuman scale, the entire object appeals because of the purity of shapes, colors and original selection of materials from outside with friendly impression.  The careful final finishing and snowy white interior surfaces are a real delicacy and exemplary contrast silhouette to displayed exhibits.

The factory collection, which currently count 400 unique cars, presented by the end of 2007 twenty cars in the nearby exhibition area behind the gate of headquarters company area. 5600 m2 exhibition area of newly built museum with regularly counterchanged exposition anticipated up to 200 000 visitors annually. Visitors can see 80 prototypes, serial and racing cars, as well as 200 smaller exhibits. The truly exclusive pieces include the first production of the Roadster 356 (1948), Porsche 550 and Spyder (1956), Porsche 911 2.0 Coupé (1964), Panamericana Concept Car (1989), and a modern Porsche Carrera GT (2003).

The new museum is now fully in line with the rich history of Porsche car company, and represents a new architectural symbol and a sign of healthy self-confidence of the German mark.

Z původního objektu zůstala zachována režná cihlová obvodová stěna na hranici pozemku a především centrálně umístěný, přes dvacet metrů vysoký, tovární komín.

Výrazně nezměněn zůstal půdorysný rozsah i výšková hladina objektu. Naopak snížení úrovně dvora umožnilo rozdělit nově budovanou vinotéku do dvou podlaží. Přímý vstup do exteriéru zajišťují dva venkovní balkóny.

Vnějšímu obvodovému plášti i interiéru vévodí režné cihlové zdivo doplněné masivem dubu, ocelí a sklem.

In one of Inner blocks in the center of the Czech metropolis is - surrounded by houses - hidden changeover of industrial building of original joinery workshop from the beginning of the twentieth century. After years of decay, this unique place is reviving again.

The author and also the investor of conversion of joinery workshop is a pair of Ivan Dombková and Rostislav Černík who co act together since 1998 under the name of studio Design by Donlić. Just theirs studio is adjoining with the joinery in the court track of one block of Old Town, so it  is not by chance that they acquitted of its reconstruction.

The original building from 1905 was in 1948 more extended but at the end of the century, machine tools were just standing, the hall has remained unused and with time slightly felt into disrepair. After three years of intensive construction works was architectural and design studio expanded by 600 m2 of new floor area wine shop Home Wines last year.

Of the original building remained peripheral gray brick wall on the border of land and especially the centrally located, more than twenty meters high smokestack. Most of the remaining elements of the original hall were not possible to save, though it did not lose character from the place. The elements of industrial architecture were developed in the new project and in conjunction with the current use of the building received a new scale.

Significantly unchanged stayed the ground area and the high level of the property. Whereas, a reduction of the level of a court allowed the newly built wine shop to be divided into two floors. The main single spaced wine shop on the second floor is entered through the residential bridging of the court from the entrance hall on the ground floor of apartment house. Elevated gallery and spacious mezzanine divide large multifunctional space. On its area are layout mobile and static shelving with wine storage, air-conditioned wine shelves, sitting area, bar, kitchen, office and a cigar room. Direct entries into the exterior provide two outdoor balconies. On the ground floor is located technical background of the building, sanitary facilities, supply and storage facilities which are accessible directly from the court. The deep layout is smartly back lightened with facade windows, but especially by large roof openings. Donlić studio did not create only architectural design, but also the interior designs and equipment, including the production of most of the furniture and interior elements. The high quality of the work and purity of the project evaluate not only visual sensation, but also their usefulness.

Very essential was particularly good choice of materials. The gray brick walls complemented by solid wood oak, steel and glass dominate to external wall and to interior. These materials were inseparable part of the original solutions, and their current use is purely in the spirit of the present time. You can feel surprisingly pleasant and cozy in the interior, surrounded by materials retained in their basic raw state.

Even if the reconstruction respects the original hall, its main link with the history is a dominant feature of the smokestack. Considerable thanks go to authors especially for the return of cultural and social life in a specific world of Prague inner block.

At the beginning of 1933, the United States initiated the development of the breakthrough airplane with the H-1 mark. It was created solely to break the speed record, but in our memory will not remain only for that.

Since his birth, he was an aviation pioneer, film producer and in his time, one of the richest people on the planet - Howard Hughes. He financed its development and participated on the project. Glenn Odekirk turned his ideas into reality, to which Hughes entrusted construction.

The H-1 aircraft was a single-seat executive "racer" with a wingspan of over nine and a half meters. It was driven by twin-row 14-cylinder supercharging radial engine putting out over 1,000 horsepower. Steel half shell fuselage and wing sections of the wood were finally covered with aluminium plates on the body retained the characteristic polished finish. With close cowling of the engine, smooth transitions and embedded rivets on the surface of the casing was achieved the reduction of aerodynamic resistance and improving of the flight characteristics

In 1935, Hughes had set a world speed record in the category of land-based aircraft with a value of 563 km / h. Two years after that he exceeded the distance of 4000 km between Los Angeles and New York in record time 7 hours 28 minutes and 25 seconds.

The aircraft, which was produced in a single copy, was an inspiration to all fighter machines of World War II. It is now part of the permanent exhibition in the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
