jižní a východní části francouzské metropole. Pro představu, v péči má
každodenně na tři sta autobusů a na osm set řidičů. Situována je v
předměstské části Thiais, něco přes sedm kilometrů jižně od pomezí
historického centra. Leží na okraji komerční zóny v bezprostředním
sousedství mezinárodního letiště Orly. Přesnou pozici můžete nalézt za
pomoci zeměpisných souřadnic - 48°45'16N 02°23'12E.
Návrh vypracoval tamní
architektonický ateliér ECDM, jehož zakládajícími členy byli v roce 1993
architekt Emmanuel Combarel a architektka Dominique Marrec. Na studii a
následném projektu autobusového centra v Thiais spolupracovali v období od
prosince 2003 do února 2006. Výtavba v celkové hodnotě mírně převyšující
tři a půl miliónu euro byla dokončena už v červnu následujícího roku 2007.
Objekt převzal některé funkce rušené zástavby a doplnil areál původní
autobusové centrály. V rámci pozemku zůstaly zachovány dřívější plochy
vnějších parkovacích stání i obrovitá garážová hala.
hranami, komunikace a parkovací stání plynule přešly v povrchy fasádního
působí velmi transparentně a prosvětleně. Orientaci v prostoru a zpestření
pracovního prostředí mohou navíc pozitivně ovlivňovat již zmíněné barevně
foliované otvory. Nosná konstrukce je železobetonová.
Autobusovému centru
bych ze svého pohledu vytkl poněkud fádní okolní prostředí i poněkud
přílišnou uzavřenost vůči exteriéru. Tyto dva aspekty jsou na sobě do
určité míry závislé. Někomu by se mohla zdát i docela nepraktická absence
„hlavního“ vstupu nebo alespoň jeho viditelné zdůraznění. Naopak bych rád
poukázal na příkladný koncepční přístup k návrhu, originální vybavení
interiéru a kvalitu provedení. V neposlední řadě oceňuji kontrast
použitých materiálů, barev, struktur, intenzity osvětlení...
The
investor of the bus centre project is the French company of RATP (Régie
autonome des transports parisiens), the operator of Parisian public
transport. Its enlightened approach has given rise to a construction with
non-traditional architectonic looks which, today, has an impact on the
company image forming by return.
The entirely new administration building is an administrative center of
all bus lines of the south and eastern part of the French metropolis. For
imagination, it looks after about 300 buses daily, including 800 drivers.
It is situated in the suburban part of Thiais, something over seven
kilometers south from the historical center boundary. It lies at the edge
of commercial zone in a proximity of the Orly international airport. The
exact position may be found via geographic coordinates - 48°45'16N
02°23'12E.
The design was developed by the local ECDM architectonic atelier which was
established in 1993 by the architects Emmanuel Combarel and Dominique
Marrec. They were working together on the study and the consequent project
of the Thiais Bus Centre during December 2003 to February 2006. The
construction in the total costs slightly above 3,5 million Euros was
completed in June of the following year already, in 2007. The object has
taken over a few functions of the abolished buildings and filled in the
area of the original bus central office. Within the lands, the former
spaces of the outer parking and the large garage hall have remained.
The authors´ intent was a communion of the object with the industrial
environment. The designers then covered the building in to the material
occurring on each step in the neighborhood practically. Endless asphalts
areas thus have deformed in to external walls with round edges, the
communication and parking have gradually moved on the surfaces of the
facade shell. Material curtness is brightened only by large cuts filled in
by radiantly yellow, orange, green or blue glass. But for real, the
asphalt does not cover the reinforced concrete supporting structure of the
bus centre. Its form is stood in by 30 mm thick boards made of fine
concrete added with organic fibres. At the market, they have been known as
Ductal trademark and are good for shape steadiness and high resistance
against a mechanic damage. The regular structure of cylindrical overhangs
on its surface evokes the Lego construction set and increases the visual
value of the material.
The square plot with a side length 35 m and two above-ground floors, into
which the building has been divided horizontally, make the gained floor
area 2.450 m2. The internal lay-out is designed mainly practically with a
view to high personnel move. Despite it is divided in relatively small
rooms, thanks to the central atrium, it makes a transparent and bright
impression. The orientation in space and the variety of working
environment may be also influenced by the already mentioned color foil
apertures. The supporting structure is made of the reinforced concrete.
From my point of view,
I would reproach the bus centre a certain gray surroundings and also a too
much reserve towards the exterior. These two aspects are dependant to a
certain extent. Somebody could find quite impractical the absence of the
“main” entrance or at least its visible accentuation. On the other hand I
would like to point out an exemplary conceptual approach to the design,
original interior fittings and the design quality. Not least I appreciate
the contrast of the used materials, colors, structures, lights intensity … |
